New Study Shows 3 Doses of Pfizer–BioNTech COVID Vaccine Better Than 2

Three COVID-19 Vaccine Doses

Kaiser Permanente study assessed of Pfizer–BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness against infection, hospitalization, and death up to 8 months after vaccination.

A Kaiser Permanente study published today (February 14, 2022), in The Lancet Regional Health – Americas found that one month after a third dose, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness is higher for preventing infection and hospitalization than 2 doses of the vaccine after 1 month.

“When we looked at the effectiveness of the 2 doses of Pfizer–BioNTech vaccine versus 3 doses, we see a benefit with 3 doses that exceeds that achieved with 2 doses alone,” said Sara Y. Tartof, PhD, an epidemiologist with the Kaiser Permanente Southern California Department of Research & Evaluation and a member of the faculty of the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, both in Pasadena.

This study assessed the primary series of two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination effectiveness against infection, hospitalization, and death up to 8 months after vaccination, and also assessed the effectiveness of 3 doses of the vaccine up to 3 months after vaccination.

To assess effectiveness, this research study evaluated electronic health records of 3.1 million members of Kaiser Permanente in Southern California from December 14, 2020, to December 5, 2021. During the study period, 197,535 (6.3%) patients were infected with SARS-CoV-2, and of those, 15,786 (8%) were admitted to the hospital. During the study period, the predominant variant was delta, and not omicron.

  • 2-dose vaccine effectiveness against infection declined from 85% during the first month after vaccination to 49% up to 8 months following vaccination.
  • 2-dose vaccine effectiveness against hospitalization remained high (90%) throughout the 8 months and did not wane, except among people who were 75 years of age and older, or who had compromised immune systems.
    • For people who were immunocompromised, the protection against hospitalization dropped to 74%, and for those 75 and older, it was 77%.
  • 3-dose vaccine effectiveness was 88% against infection and 97% against hospitalization within the first 3 months after vaccination.

“What we see from this research is that the public health impact of a third dose to prevent severe disease is substantial,” Tartof said. “Importantly, all studies that have evaluated the vaccine effectiveness of a third dose — including ours — have shown a meaningful improvement in vaccine effectiveness against a broad range of SARS-CoV-2 outcomes.”

honestly all of this scares me that new things are constantly being found out about the vaccines even though they were already “figured out” now im no anti vax but on a personal level things like the second dose being stopped for people my age due to very bad side affects then all of a sudden allowed again with seemingly no change spooked me out of receiving any more then my current amount of vaccinations which is just one I have so many fears and doubts to the point of I just would rather be at risk of covid

    • 2020/2021 was an emergency situation with hospitals filling up. Therefore, the FDA gambled that the benefits of a new vaccine outweighed the potential risks and approved “emergency” use. Were there problems? Yes, however, even drugs approved for over-the-counter use for years sometimes create problems for sensitive users. Nothing in life is certain except death. While most people (particularly young people who are more likely to travel to foreign countries) tolerate hydroxychloroquine well, one should know that that there is a long list of known side effects and contraindications. Advocates for un-approved treatments conveniently overlook these known problems, yet complain about side effects of approved drugs. It is hypocritical! If you are so inclined, you should be free to seek treatment for a non-communicable pathology from a witch doctor or voodoo practitioner. However, reasonable people put their trust in science (If for no other reason than that medical practitioners in the past had a poor track record.) The problem is, as with Typhoid Mary, people can be asymptomatic and still be a danger to others. There is an old saying that your rights only extend as far as to where they infringe on the rights of others. Society has a right to protect itself not only from an invading army, but from citizens who are rabid (or the equivalent).

  2. Very Interesting.

Here is a thought for the Scientific and Medical Community to explore.

Time Release Patch (Like a Nicotine Patch with a Pouch) to rellease the Vaccine to fight the Virus on a as and when required basis, on arrival of the Covid-19 Virus, to keep it from doing any damage to the Humans Ecosystem.

This way we circumvent the element of Time in the deliveery of Vaccines into the blood stream and adopt the methodology of just-in-time deivery solution , making it a supply-chain solution.

  3. If it makes you feel any better, the second dose was stooped due to REPORTS of bad side effects. The government was overly reactive to reports, and shut it down. When they investigated further the reports had little merit, and they allowed the second doses of that particular vaccine again. You’re good.

  4. People have STOCKHOLM syndrome after 2 years of Plandemic. Soon Pro-vaxxer’s will want all unvaccinated put in camps or worse. This will all end with Sanctuary City’s and a Forever War for the political powers on unvaccinated

  5. Yeah better at killing people!! Dr Vladimir Zelenko said anyone that willfully vilified and obstructed access to hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin in the prevention and treatment of Covid-19 is guilty of first degree capital murder, genocide, and crimes against humanity. They are trying to jab as many people as possible so that their great reset aka depopulation plan work. I believe in God & Jesus. If I get sick I will take my Ivermectin that I stashed just in case and leave rest to God. If you want to get Ivermectin you can visit https://ivmcures.com

It’s the year 2032 and a new study on Pfizer’s vaccine finds that “12 doses of the vaccine protects better than 11” everyone looking forward to getting to this point? So far these articles are helping us go absolutely nowhere.

Lolol the irony of the last comment

  8. Vaccines have not been proven long term therefore making it a gamble and dangerous. Do not vac Your children.

    • The idea isn’t to make anyone/everyone safe for life. The goal is to get enough people resistant to the virus so that it stops spreading and is extinguished from a lack of hosts.

  9. If it makes you feel better the side effects reported to all of the back seats are exceptionally high and damaged. Huge numbers. Enough that should have stopped the vaccines a year-and-a-half ago. LOL. 100% higher for neurological damage and blood clots and Vascular damage and Parks muscle damage. These things are just a stress and highly inefficient. I bet they did the study mentioned above for another month or two you would see the efficacy of the third one dropping faster at lower than the second what kind of vaccine is this inefficient while destroying the immune system. Run people run and get your money out of the bank too
