cannabidiol

Cannabidiol, commonly called CBD, is a phytocannabinoid discovered in 1940. It is one of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana), but unlike THC, it is not considered psychoactive. It is being studied for the possible treatment of anxiety, movement disorders, and pain. In 2018, the FDA approved the cannabidiol drug Epidiolex for treatment of two epilepsy disorders.
